Yes, this statement is right that the economic development of a nation made tribal a marginalized community. For instance, When the British government in India brought changes in the forest laws to develop the railways it affected the lives of the forest dwellers adversely. Because various tribes were directly connected to the forests in India hence, the new laws and policies affected their lives directly. The British government took control of the forests and declared those forests as Reserved Forests for they produced timber. Therefore, tribal people (who lived in these forests) were forced to leave the for-ests; they were banned to enter the reserved forests. As a result of these actions of the government, the cultivators and the tribal people had to move to other regions in search of shelter and occupation.

All these prove that the development of the economy made tribal a marginalized community.
