Is it right to create states on the basis of languages.

Demand of states on linguistic basis was developed even before independence of India under British rule. Though that time Indian administrative regions were identified as different provinces. Odisha was the first Indian state formed on linguistic basis in the year 1936 due to the efforts of Madhusudan Das and became Orissa Province. In Odisha linguistic movement started in the year 1895 and intensified later years with the demand of separate province from Bihar and Orissa Province.

Up to a point its right but if it goes out of contol it becomes a great threat to unity of nation eg:

Belgium over came it by giving special powers to all linguistic group by making a new level of gov COMMUNITY GOVERNMENT and there is equal seats to french and dutch both in centra gov and brussels gov

SRILANKA is the vise versa .tamil language is not recognised by gov .equal opportunities equal living standards equal respect didn't prevail between tamils and sinhalians civil war started in Sri Lanka as tamils demand for new ellam (state)where they can function as a individual nation
