Its safe to jump on sand rather than a cement floor because sand has a smooth surface in which it is safe to jump over but cement is very hard if jumped on it serious injuries may occur.

Answer:

It is safe to jump on sand rather than cemented floor, because when we jump on cement floor then our momentum directly on the floor so our momentum will not decrease and we can hurt our leg badly, while when we jump on sand the momentum is decreased due to mud .
