Is it true that the capacity of any sponge ( or sponge like substance) to absorb liquid gets reduced when the sponge is treated with cold liquid instead of the same liquid at normal temperature.plz tell the answer with proof.

It is true
Because, when liquid is cooled then its density increases ,thus area per unit increased.
so, it need more space to occupy same area at low temp.
