Is it true, the pair of equations x + 2y - 4 = 0 and 2x + 4y - 2 = 0 are consistent. Justify your answer.​

Answer:

x + 2y - 4 = 0

2x + 4y - 2 = 0

here a1/b1 = 1/2

        c2/b2 =1/2

        c1/c2 = 2/1

so a1/b1 =  b1/b2 ≠ c1/c2

so this equations has no solution.

so they are inconsistent
