Is jaundice a chronic or acute disease? Its cure? Can it lead to death? ​

jaundice may be acute or chronic.

It depends on the cause of it and the level of bilirubin in blood. high level of bilirubin in blood leads to liver damage and othe organ damages.

CURE

  1. jaundice caused by hepatitis is treat with antiviral or steroid medication
  2. anemia induced jaundice by boosting iron level in blood by iron supplements and iron rich food.
  3. obstruction induced jaundice by surgical removal of blockage.

IS IT FETAL

It may be fetal and leads to death if medication and cure has not be taken at right time or in proper manner otherwise it is a fully curable disease which can be treated fully by medication except the jaundice caused by hepatitis b because hepatitis b is a uncurable disease(means which can not be treated completely only we can lower the effect of it on body by medication)
