Jute is a Kharif crop.
It is a member of a Germanic people that is extracted from the stem of a plant – jute.
For a period of 3 days, people soak the stem in the water and when the stems are rotten then they take out the fibre from it.
Then that fibre is used to make doormats, bags, carpets, etc.
Corchorus genus is the plant that is used usually.
