kibtic energy can never be negative it can either be positive or zero as because K.E is defined as 1/2 product of mass and square of magnitude  of velocity so the conclusion is as mass is a measure of matter it can't be negative and when we square the velocity it is positive

abhi178: bit mistake kinetic enrgy = 1/2 product of mass and square of magnitude of magnitude of velocity , not square of velocity both are different .
abhi178: square of magnitude of velocity
Anonymous: yes ..it is 1/2 mv2
Anonymous: thanks for rectifying
abhi178: please again mistake find kibetic in place of kinetic

Hi friend ,

Kinetic energy of an object can never be negative as kinetic energy = 1/2 mv^2.
So as we all know that mass can never be negative and if the velocity is negative then when it is doubled then it becomes positive. So in this way kinetic energy of an object can never be negative.

Hope this helped u...
