Leather is nothing but animal skin which undergoes different stages of processing so that they become durable for the consumer in the form of clothes and other materials. Leather is mainly obtained from animal hides, especially cattle hide. On the other hand, fibers are threads or strings woven from the materials obtained from plants. Leather is hence not a fibre.
