It all depends upon the evolution
the resources are the main base of living in earth.When the life fails its living means the destroy of all the natural resources in the earth leads to the entire disaster.We cannot live without the Natural resource of earth.Mainly the fresh air.
That doesn't mean unicelluar organisms can't survive...As we do not only consists of the living beings..The evolution may not come in close to a billion years..but those organism could undergo evolution
without natural resources ..... we cannot live....
