reasons are:

  • The eye lids needs smooth surface to go over the cornea.

  • lubrication keeps the cornea hydrated to sufficiently to keep its clarity.

  • Acts as bacteriostatic environment.

  • Flushes out particulate matter

yes lubrication is required in our eyes..

*lubricating substance kill all the pathogen who come from dust air water

*due to lubrication our eyes never dry

*they move in all directions without hurting

*they also maintain our lacrimal gland activities
