Magnetic field is called to be a vector quantity. This is because :

  1. Magnetic field lines have a different direction in different points.
  2. Magnetic field lines have different magnitudes

Since Vectors have both magnitude and direction and also Magnetic Field has both magnitude and direction, we can say that Magnetic Field lines are vector quantities.

Also they follow the Cross Product of vectors due to which they are called Vectors.

Hope it helped !
