Districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar are the major tea producers of the state. State of Tamil Nadu occupies third place with a production of 161.49 million kilograms of tea in the year 2015-16, whereas Kerala comes at fourth place with 56.63 million kilograms of tea in the year 2015-16.
