Yes meditation helps your brain to calm down and then to have some peace
By meditation it does not mean to simply sit by closing eyes... if it was so then what would have been difference between sleep and meditation???
While meditating sit with your closed eyes try to focus on a single topic
Thai will definitely help to increase your concentration power.
