House of Leaves
Without spoiling the plot, there are three nested stories, of which the core is about the finding of a set of documents and videos about a house that becomes slightly longer on the inside than the outside, and that 'grows' an extra door, where none were before. The entire book is typeset to convey the sense of claustrophobia, confusion, and other-worldliness of the situation, and it does an excellent job. I read this in two coats, on a park bench, in a VERY open space.
