it is a vector quantity because it has magnitude as well as direction so thats why it is a vector quantity

heya mate here is your answer.....

momentum is a vector quantity . since the formula to find momentum is mass × velocity.
son mass is scalar quantity and velocity is vector quantity . the product of scalar and vector is vector .
hence we can say that momentum is a vector quantity.
