Is my work for this question right?
Solve for x.

21 - 3x = 4x

Simplify your answer as much as possible.




21 - 3x = 4x
21 - 3x - 3x = 4x - 3x
21 = x - The Answer
21 + 3(21) = 4(21)
21 + 24 = 25
25 = 25 - True

No you committed a mistake

see when you subtracted 3x from -3x its 6x so go by this ..

Given:

21 - 3x = 4x

When the terms are rearranged, -3x from L.H.S is moved to R.H.S it becomes +3x.

21 = 4x + 3x

21 = 7x

x = 21/7 = 3

Therefore x = 3 ——> Answer
