No ,it is not correct measure of welfare because it hide the poverty or you can say the income of some poor people .

their are many other factor that should be observe like :-

●. NET ATTENDENCE

● SEX RATIO

● CHILD DIE BEFOR 1YEAR

● LITERACY RATE
