Answer:
Yes,National unity holds the same significance and respect as it did 80 to 90 years ago. The world is not a good place, we all know it whether we agree or not. Anything can happen hear. Something about 80 years or so years ago, Britishers used to rule our land. Their main cause to rule us was the way we seperated each other. They used us to rule and divide. Still there was the light of national unity in our hearts that convinced our ancestors to snatch our independence from the Britishers. There weren't one or two people who stood against them and won, there were hundreds and thousands of people who joined hands to receive our independence. They stood against injustice. Today also when a person needs to bear injustice and disrespect, we don't look at his or her caste or background. Instead we join hands, make national unity our base and fight the wrong. Indeed it is true that 'United we stand, divided we fall.'
