Yes it is present in bone It is known that motor neurons are not present in peripheral nerve, and the spinal ganglia are not involved in our experimental model. We therefore demonstrated that bone marrow-derived neural-like cells are capable of not only protecting axon but also protecting the Schwann cells around myelinated nerve fibers.
