absolutely. Newton's third law is that for every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. Rocket fly because of this you move forward because of this. In classical mechanics it hold completely true but in quantum mechanics there are few exceptions

anujgarg1991: that's not reaction which happens in mechanics. If you beat a wall you are exerting force on the wall and wall as a equal and opposite reaction will exert equal amount of force on you because of which we sometimes feel pain in our hands on beating the wall.
