In simple terms, Herbivores are the primary consumer in the food chain structure of the environment and thus become a source of food for the next level of organism in the food chain pyramid.

What is Primary Producer?

Primary producer are those organism which make their food by themselves and thus help other organism in the trophic level to sustain in the ecosystem. They facilitate base of a food chain and also known as autotrophs.

In the process of this, plants uses the method of photosynthesis to make their food by the help of sunlight and thus supports other activities like dairy, grazing etc.
