The nucleus is the most important part of a cell. It is also called the "Control Centre" of the cell because it controls all the activities of the cell. A thin membrane surrounds it which is called Nuclear Membrane. It also has many threads like structures called Chromosess.

These chromosomes carry the genes that Sex and Characteristics of an organism that they inherit their characteristics from their parents.

The number of chromosomes is fixed in every cell. A human cell contains 46 chromosomes.  

If we remove a cell's nucleus. It will not grow and It would die.
