Nymph is neither a prefix nor suffix. Nymph is a word that has two meanings:

1.       Nymphs were considered to be spirit of nature in the form of a woman living in rivers and woods. They were mentioned in ancient Greek and Roman stories.

2.       Second meaning of nymph is young insect.

Note: There is one word in which the word ‘nymph’ is used as prefix. The word is ‘nymphomania’.

Nymphomania means: ‘a woman’s inordinate desire for sex.’
