Non Creamy Layer Certificate is Compulsory for the CET Process? Yes, Valid Non Creamy Layer Certificate is compulsory at the time of document verification to get the benefit of reservation.

You need to get a separate certificate issued. You need to get Income certificate issued, caste certificate and residence certificate. Then you will finally get your OBC-NCL certificate issued.

If the individual works under Group B of the Central Government and if their parents do not have a steady source of income, then they may apply. Anyone with an income above 8 lakh falls under the Creamy Layer. But earning less than 8 lakh per year makes you come under the Non-Creamy Layer.

The term of obtaining income certificates has also been abolished for such applicants. Such applicants can directly apply for non-creamy layer certificates at Setu offices." The process has reduced the time period for obtaining the certificates from nearly 45 days to seven days
