Paddy is a monocot.

There are two ways to classify the plants according to their leaf veins and fibrous root.

They can be labelled as Monocot and Dicot plants.

The Monocot plant includes Parallel veins with fibrous roots.

The Branching veins and tap roots are the features of Dicot plants.

They further develop into an embryo.

Maize, Orchard
is also an example of Monocot.
