parthenogenesis  is a process in which we fertilize the ovum by external methods without mating
IN real Parthenogenesis is surely asexual.
although sexual reproduction means fusion of germ cells 
but if we study more we found that sexual reproduction involves meeting of two male and female; cross fertilization is required for sexual reproduction

parthenogenisis is asexual...its a type of asexual reproduction in which there is a  shift from sexual to asexual  mode of reproduction.the fertilized offspring is diploid might be female and the unfertilized one monoploid a male........
