Well actually, pure water is an excellent insulator and does not conduct electricity. The thing is, you won't find any pure water in nature, so don't mix electricity and water.

yes but it is a poor conductor as there is very low amount of sodium chloride (NaCl) in pure water is very low.

If we add some common salt in that it becomes a good conductor of electricity
