No rainwater is not potable water because it doesn't have all the minerals and salts needed by the body. Rain can wash different types of contaminants into the water you collect (for example, bird poop on your roof could end up in your water barrel or tank) so, it is unfit for drinking.

Not almost but somehow rain water is portable water that is theyare clean and safe to drink.

In many areas of India rainwater is harvested for the use in the family or for any household work and it is used as a drinking purposes many time so by this statement we can conclude that rain water is a portable water.
