bhavi8147: I'm new to brainly n doesn't know anything about this so it happened
acestudentt4n15h: That's OK, but the answerer was really un-logical. "Bulged at the poles and shaped like a oval." lol
acestudentt4n15h: AND before he said that earth is spherical, BUT, bulged.....oval. XD
Anonymous: Hey , just chill bro
acestudentt4n15h: Dude, I ain't angry. Just look at his sense of REALITY. Maybe he got the answer wrong. But I STILL CAN'T STOP LAUGHING XD
Anonymous: yeah , may be, she must report it
acestudentt4n15h: She didn't report the brainliest answer
bhavi8147: actually I don't know what to do
bhavi8147: soo I left
acestudentt4n15h: That's OK. New to brainly, huh? There are many spam-sters out there who copy things from the internet and paste them, or answerers who give the wrong answers. Always make sure to question the answerer if his/her answer doesn't make sense to u...

Hey mate,

Yes, Earth is a spherical ball, but it is bulged at the poles and shaped like a oval.

Hope it helps.

No, it isn't perfectly spherical. It's somewhat flattened at the poles, and the rest of the Earth is like a sphere ( like, when you take a ball, soft enough to be compressed, and compress it at the opposite ends of its diameter, you get a shape that's very much similar to the shape of the Earth).

That's why the gravitational force is high at the poles, resulting in increased weight, increased acceleration due to gravity ( increases to about 10m/s² ),etc.

(Sorry if the answer was hard to understand, I never really meant it...)

:)

bhavi8147: its not hard
bhavi8147: I understood
