no dude attraction of magnet is pull but repulsion is push
then why didn't the magnet attract each other? ask that to ur sir
repulsion actually means that a magnet pushes the other magnet for example take two magnets and bring their north poles closer u will observe that there is pushing force this is repulsion

The repulsoin of a magnet is a push because the pull is the attraction of magnet that pulls toward it self and repulsion takes place when two bodies oppose each other in this case these magnets .
