IS RESISTOR A DEVICE IN THE CIRCUIT OR A CHARACTERISTIC OF WIRE ? CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN ME WITH AN EXAMPLE OR AN IMAGE BUT NOT AN ANIMATED IMAGE AS IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND ???

it's a device which will be connected to the wire which resist the flow of current produced by the cell or battery .this resistor is in series
