Breathing involves inhale of oxygen from the atmosphere into the lungs and exhale of carbon dioxide from the lungs into the atmosphere ; whereas cellular respiration involves breakdown of glucose into carbon dioxide and water in living cells, releasing energy.

The differences between respiration and photosynthesis are:

Respiration

1) The process of respiration goes on 24 hours a day.

2) Every living cell of the organism respires.

3 ) The end products of respiration are H2O, CO2, and energy in form of ATP.

Photosynthesis

1.It is an anabolic process .

2. Carbon dioxide, water, chlorophyll and light act as raw mate4rials.

3. In natural conditions it takes place in daytime.

4. O2, ATP and food material are the end-products of photosynthesis.
