Hey Mate✌️

.The Salt Tax was not repealed by the British even after this extraordinary effort. The tax was finally abolished only in October 1946 by the Interim Government of India. The Salt Tax was one of the most pernicious, longest lasting sources of revenue that supported the British in India.

Hence, today is salt still taxed.

I hope it's helpful to you so mark as brainlist :-)

Answer:

Shalom mate,

C. Rajagopalachari broke the Salt Laws at Vedaranyam, in Madras Province in the same year. ... The salt tax, however, continued to remain in effect and was repealed only when Jawaharlal Nehru became the prime minister of the interim government in 1946, but later re-introduced via the Salt Cess Act, 1953.
