Is scaler quantity is always +ve?

yes it can be negative ,the signs do not define any direction they define quantity. we ASSIGN direction to them by putting them in a line (one dimension) but that doesn't mean that those signs indicate directions.(for example : temperature- if we assign them in Celsius scale they can have negative temperature but if put the same temperature in kelvin scale it becomes positive temperature.so thus we can say that scaler are not always positive.,they can be negative but that sign doent represent any direction.
