No, it is not correct
to scribble on the walls of a historic monument. Doing such a thing indicates that
you do not value your country’s heritage and preserving its artifacts. As a
responsible citizen, you should also not encourage others from indulging in
this activity.

No, it is definitely not correct to write and scribble on the walls of historical monuments. It reflects that we lack a sense of respect, admiration for our country and we do not honour our duty of protecting these monuments. It shows our apathy towards making our country presentable in the global stage.
The monuments of our country are our national treasures, and are major tourist attractions. For many tourists from all over the world, they represent our country and the rich culture we have preserved through the years. These people travel thousands of miles just to see the beauty of our country and the history associated with it. However, seeing such scribbles definitely disappoints and disgusts them. In a country where we say "Athithi Devo Bhava" or "Guests are equivalent to God", is this the picture we want to present to them?
We feel angry and frustrated when someone dirties the surroundings of our home, but aren't the monuments a part of us, our country as well? We must realize our duty of keeping our country clean. We visit monuments just because of their architectural marvel and splendour, but we ourselves spoil and damage them. These monuments, though they do not belong to us, are a part of us and it is our duty to show respect to them by maintaining them and keeping them as beautiful as ever.
The authorities must ensure stringent checks to ensure nobody damages these valuable treasures of our countries. More strict laws and fines can be brought about to prevent people from spoiling these places. It just presents a picture that we do not value our monuments. It shows to the world that we are just literates, not educated. This is because educated people realize their duty to protect their motherland and its properties. If they do not realize this, what is the use of education?
Hence, I consider scribbling on the walls of historical monuments to be utterly wrong, and we must see to it that we do not spoil them or let others spoil them.
