Is series 7, 10, 14, 19, ...an A.P.? Give reason.​

Answer:

a= 7

a2-a1= 10-7=3

a3-a2=14-10= 4

a4-a3= 19-14= 5

From the above we get tht differences are not similar.

Therefore the above sequence is not an AP.

We generally use an algorithm to determine that the series is an AP or not ,

If the common differnce are equal then the series forms an AP , Hence

Common difference = a2 - a1 = 10-7 = 3

a3 - a2 = 14-10 = 4

The common difference is not equal hence the above series doesn,t forma an AP ☑
