Well, it's a valid question if answered in sensible way. Well, sex is necessary for the continuing the generation ahead and to see people around us. If there will be no offsprings , humans , then the country won't move ahead. As humans are necessary in all the ways.

So in a way sex is necessary, but not compulsory. Hope it helps...!!!

Well! I am not still sure if it's a valid question but I am answering it. If mods delete it then I have no argument.

Here is your answer : -

In someway or the other sex is necessary. It's the only way by which generations will continue coming. If there will be no sex then people will not be seen on our mother Earth. Generations have been passing due to this only.

Now the answer to your question,
Sex is not compulsory but necessary. It depends upon a person if he/she want to pass on generations.
