No shylock is a villian also the good person why villian because he take high rate of interest from the people of venice those who takes money frm him and good also because he is also considered as a good father because he is worried for her daughter when her daughter jessica went with lorenzo in masqurate by taking all the wealth of shylock sometimes he thinks about his wealth and sometime for her daughter in merchant of venice antonio is also considered as good and also bad because though antonio did not take any rate of interest frm the people of venice he take s but very less he is bad because he always call shylock a dog and many more
