Sickle cell anaemia is a gentic disorder ..i.e it is inherited from parent generation..
When there is abnormality in the protein haemoglobin in red blood corpuscles the shape of rbc changes..

This disease can cause obstruction in capillaries ..which can cause swelling or redness..in many parts of the body..
