Simile is where we compare two things using 'like/as'. Eg: He was as brave as a lion in the fight.

Metaphor: When we compare without using 'like/as'. Eg: He was a lion in the fight.

Light1729: Mark as brainliest
Light1729: Thanks
yousf: but my question is that whether simile is indirect comparison or metaphor
Light1729: metaphor is indirect comparison
yousf: please explain
Light1729: as we dont use the words 'like or as' it is a mode of indirect comparison
yousf: thanks

simile means comparison with like or as

where as metaphor means there will be no use of like
eg. the man fought in war
