Is sodium hydroxide acidic basic or neutral how would you justify your answer?

Sodium hydroxide is definitely basic in nature. In concentrated form its pH can go up to somewhere in the region of 13-14. ... Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is basic because it contains an OH- ion, which is basic. OH- ions are basic because they can accept a H+ ion.
