Is taking written exams the best way to test one's knowledge?

In my opinion one's knowledge cant be tested in either oral or written exams ,one's true test of knowledge take place at the odd conditions when the luck is not favouring you ,you are alone ,circumstances are against you .At these times one's true logic ,presence of mind , his/her skills, intelligence is being tested .
If anyone one can pass this ,he/she will surely succeed in life .
So beware life will test you too.
