Explanation:- Identity means on doing that particular operation the answer is the question itself. So multiplicative identity is a no. which when multiplied to a number gives the same number as a product to which it was multiplied. So when we multiply 1 with any no. ans it the no. itself. eg 3 × 1= 3

Similarly, Additive identity mean the no. which doesn't change the sum upon added to any integer. So if you add 0 to any integer, the answer remains the same. eg -6 + 0 = -6
