Here radius of semicircle is x

So that the area of semicircle is pi x^2.

Area of circle = 2 pi r^2

Here radius of circle is x

So that the area of circle is 2 pi x^2.

So the area of a semicircle with diameter 2x is less than the are of a circle with x radius.
