1 - Latitude is an angle (defined below) which ranges from 0° at the Equator to 90° (North or South) at the poles. 
2 - The lines of latitude are not of same length
3 - Lines of latitude increase in value from the equator towards the poles

1 - Latitudeis used together with longitudeto specify the precise location of features on the surface of the Earth.
2 - the Lines of longitude are of the same length
3 - Lines of longitude increase in value Eastwards of the Greenwich Meridian
