Fluorine is a very small molecule because of the small atomic radius. It is diatomic.Since the atomic radius of Fluorine is very small, the nuclei of both the Fluorine atoms repel each other(like charges repel), Fluorine gas(F2) has a really small dissociation energy compared to the other halogens.
