Distilled water is neutral.

  • to about 2 ml sample of distilled water taken in a test tube, add 2 drops of blue litmus.observe the colour of the indicator in water.there is no change in colour.similarly test with red litmus and observe.there is no change in colour.

since distilled water does not effect the natural colour of litmus, distilled water is neutral.
