p= vi
1000/ 240 = i
4.16 ampere= i
p= vi
100/ 240 = i
0.4 ampere= i
since,
a is thicker wire....
u can also use r cause ris inversely propotional to 1/a

The filament of 240v 100w is thicker because it has a larger safe limit than the 240v 1000w and so more amounts of current lasses through it.
P= V2/I
.°. I =V2/P
I = 240 × 240/1000
= 57.6A
I = 240 ×240/100
I = 576A
P= V2/I
.°. I =V2/P
I = 240 × 240/1000
= 57.6A
I = 240 ×240/100
I = 576A
