x+y=25 =>                y=(25-x)_________(1)

(x-5)(y-5)=38

=> xy-5x-5y+25=38

=> xy-5x-5y=13

=> x(25-x)-5x-5y=13

=> x(25-x)-5x-5y=13  ( Putting y=(25-x) from 1)

=> 25x-x^2-5x-5y=13

  x^2+20x-5(25-x)=13

=> -x^2+20x-125+5x=13

=> -x^2+25x-112=0

=> x^2-25+112=0
